Trelleborg SMD is a food-grade silicone containing an additive that is detectable by metal detectors. Any loose fragments or eroded particles from the seal can be easily detected using scanners installed along the food processing line. Used for cutting seals, gaskets or other components intended to come into contact with food, water, detergents, diluted acids and strong non-oxidising acids. It is a material resistant to weather conditions, ozone and chemicals, intended for contact with food. It is FDA certified and complies with the regulations of Regulation (EU) No 1935/2004
